Music and Liturgy

Welcome to the Ministry of Liturgical Arts

At Sacred Heart we offer several ministries emphasizing quality liturgy, music and arts which highlight the dynamics of our faith. We happily encourage anyone to participate.

Traditional Choir

This music ministry concentrates on the use of vocal techniques in unison and harmony to lead the assembly through worship at our Sunday 8:30 am liturgy. The style of music is traditional. Hymns are sung and supported by the organ. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at 7 pm and directed by Susan Daly.

Vocal and Instrumental Ensembles

We offer two styles of worship ensembles for instrument and voice.

  • Our Sunday 11 am liturgy contains music presented in a folk style. With various instruments such as guitar, woodwinds, piano and banjo, it’s all covered—or is it? Bring your instrument to find out! Rehearsals are Sunday mornings at 10 am, and Bob Johnson is the director.
  • If you like the music of today’s Contemporary Christian Artists, our Sunday 6 pm liturgy is for you! This liturgy is designed especially for the young and young at heart! High in energy and strong in Spirit, our Sunday night Mass will be sure to lift your heart and get your week off to a great start! Linda Graefe directs this ensemble, which rehearses at 5 pm on Sunday evenings.

Bell Choir

Our Bell Choir participates in special liturgies and festive occasions of the Church.
