Altar servers assist the celebrant during Masses, weddings, funerals, and other liturgical events. They must be in the 3rd grade or above. Training is scheduled periodically throughout the year.

The Altar Server Trainer recruits, trains, supports, and supervises the altar servers. Training is scheduled periodically throughout the year.

• Humble: Altar servers should be of service to others. 
• Reverent: Altar servers should maintain an attitude of prayer and reverence. 
• Attentive: Altar servers should be fully present during Mass and not distracted. 
• Team player: Altar servers should work well with others. 
• Punctual: Altar servers should be on time for their duties. 
• Graceful: Altar servers should walk and bow smoothly and gracefully. 
• Prayerful: Altar servers should be able to facilitate shared prayer. 
• Anticipatory: Altar servers should anticipate what might happen next during Mass. 
• Willing to learn: Altar servers should be open to learning and improving.
